Asus ZenFone 5 Disassembly

In this guide, I will explain how to disassemble the Asus ZenFone 5 to remove and replace the battery, back cover, rear camera, front camera, speaker, and motherboard.

Insert a plastic pry tool under the back cover and slide it to detach the cover from the phone.

Remove the thirteen screws securing the middle frame.

Insert a plastic pry tool under the middle frame. Slide the pry tool to detach the middle frame from the phone.

With the cover removed, you can access the internal parts, including the battery, speaker, rear camera, motherboard, and more.

Disconnect the battery power cable and remove the battery.
Remove the battery

The phone comes with a 2110mAh Li-Polymer battery.

There is a metal plate on the battery, and the SIM card slot of the ZenFone 5 is fixed to this metal plate.

On the small board, there is a speaker and a vibrator.

Disconnect the two cables and unlock the two clips. You can remove the motherboard.
