This morning, the famous Blogger Digital Chat Station revealed the specifications of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 chipset. The chipset has been leaking for a long time, but its specs have not been confirmed.
According to the blogger, the Snapdragon 875 is an octa-core chipset with one Cortex-X1 core at 2.84GHz, three Cortex-A78 cores at 2.42 GHz, and four Cortex-A55 cores at 1.8GHz.
The chipset is based on a 5nm process and features an Adreno 660 GPU. The Snapdragon 875’s cache and memory bandwidth have also been improved.
According to rumors and leaks, the peak performance of the Cortex-X1 core is 23% higher than the Cortex-A78 core. The chipset also features the Snapdragon X60 5G modem, which supports both mmWave wave and sub-6 GHz bands. The same 5G modem has been used in Apple’s latest iPhone 12 series.
The chipset will be a competitor to Samsung Exynos 2100 and Huawei Kirin 9000 chipsets. Both competitors are also based on 5nm process.
It was reported that Qualcomm would hold the 2020 Qualcomm Snapdragon Technology Summit on December 1, in which the new 5nm flagship chipset is expected to be officially unveiled.
