This morning, OPPO officially confirmed that it will launch a new AR glasses. The company announced that it will release the next-generation AR glasses at the INNO 2020 event on November 17.
According to reports, OPPO’s new AR glasses will be lighter, more comfortable, and offer richer interaction methods. Last year, OPPO released its first all-in-one AR glasses, focusing on AR content, AR games, and AR services.
Since the launch of the AR developer platform in 2018, OPPO has continuously provided users with immersive, interactive experiences by integrating the virtual and real worlds across scenarios such as gaming, shopping, photography, and navigation. The platform helps developers create content through the AR unit platform.
At last year’s INNO event, Chen Mingyong (Founder and CEO of OPPO) announced: ‘OPPO will invest 50 billion in R&D over the next three years. In addition to continuing to focus on cutting-edge technologies such as 5G, artificial intelligence, AR, and big data, we will also build core hardware technologies, software engineering, and system capabilities.’
