Today, a new Samsung device has been listed on Bluetooth SIG certification. The device carries model numbers SM-A022 and SM-M022, which indicate that it is Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A02 (Galaxy M02 in some regions).
The certification mentions that the device comes with Bluetooth V5.0, which is not the latest but has almost all the necessary features. There are lots of model numbers mentioned in the listing, which are the following:
- SM-A022F DS, SM-A022G DS, SM-A022M DS (Galaxy A02 Dual SIM Version)
- SM-M022M DS, SM-M022F DS, SM-M022G DS (Galaxy M02 Dual SIM Version)
- SM-A022F, SM-A022M (Galaxy A02 Single SIM Version)
The Galaxy A02 will be launched as a rebranded version of Galaxy M02 in some regions. This certification applicant is Samsung Electronics Company Limited, and it was listed on January 14.
Previously, the device was also listed on the Geekbench, which confirmed that this smartphone would be powered by Qualcomm’s MT6739WW chipset, a quad-core processor consisting of Cortex-A53 cores, clocked at 1.5GHz.
The device will feature a 6.5-inch TFT display with 1600×720 resolution. On the back, there is a triple camera module (13+2+2MP). On the front, a single 5MP camera is expected in the notch.
The massive battery of around 5000mAh will be one of the main highlights of this phone. Some reports also claim that this time, the phone may come with a 15W charger. The phone will be available in the following storage variants: 3+32GB and 4+64GB.
For now, there is no official information regarding the launch of Galaxy A02/M02.
