In January 2021, Huawei officially launched its Nova 8 series, which was still equipped with Kirin 985 5G chipset like the predecessor series. It seems that the company is now working to bring its successor series, as per sources.
Today, a new model, RTL-AL00 from Huawei, has been listed on the TENAA certification site. As per sources, this model belongs to the new Nova 9 series. Furthermore, in the live images, the branding of Huawei Nova can be seen. Unfortunately, the listing consists of only two images while having no specifications.
We have observed that the front side is similar to the Pro version of the Nova 8 series in the live images. It features a Dual Punch-Hole (at the top-left side) Edged Display. On the backside, we have a quad-camera setup, which is placed in a large pill-shaped module.
The first circle in the camera module features a single and primary lens. In addition, the second circle consists of three lenses. It is also observed that the overall appearance is the same as the Honor 50 Pro 5G model. Maybe the new Nova 9 would be the rebranded version of Honor 50 Pro.
Moreover, the famous Chinese blogger WHYLAB has revealed that the performance of this phone would be slightly weaker than Honor 50. He also said that the Huawei Nova 9 series would be launched in September 2021, supporting almost every 5G band.
