Samsung Galaxy S22 series battery capacities revealed through 3C certification

The latest developments denote that Samsung will continue to launch the new Galaxy S series successor earlier than expected as the leaks regarding the new Galaxy S22 series are now being revealed. Today, we found the very first leak of the new Galaxy S22 series.

This morning, two new battery modules have been listed on the 3C certification. The model numbers of those batteries confirmed that they belong to the Galaxy S22 series. Following are the batteries, along with their capacities.

  • EB-BS906ABY Battery (4370mAh Capacity) With Maximum Voltage 4.45V
  • EB-BS908ABY Battery (4855mAh Capacity) With Rated Voltage 3.88V and Max Voltage 4.45V

As per our sources, the first one belongs to the Galaxy S22+ 5G, and it will have the model number EB-BS906ABY, while the second one is the battery of the Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G (SM-BS908ABY). The Certification currently lacks the Galaxy S22 standard version battery module. The applicant for this Certification is Samsung SDI Company Limited.

Previous leaks suggest that the Galaxy S22 features a 6.01-inch Full-HD+ LTPS AMOLED display. In comparison, the Galaxy S22+ features a 6.55-inch Full-HD+ LTPS AMOLED display, and the Ultra model has a 6.81-inch Quad-HD+ LTPO AMOLED display.

It is observed that the sizes of Galaxy S22 and S22+ will be decreased while the Ultra model’s size will remain the same, and all of them will feature a 120Hz higher refresh rate.

The Galaxy S22 and S22+ are expected to feature the same camera lenses but now with a 50MP 1/1.55-inch primary sensor and 3x optical zoom support. On the other hand, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will have a quad camera setup with a newer generation 108MP lens with 3x optical zoom and 10x periscopic zoom.

A newer generation of Exynos chipset in collaboration with AMD’s GPU, Exynos 2200, is expected to be featured this time on the Galaxy S22 series. The Exynos 2200 version will be limited to some markets, while the Snapdragon version will be available in more markets.

The launch of the all-new Galaxy S22 series is expected in January 2021.
