150W charging technology will be mass-produced next year, full charging in 10 minutes

We all know that the Qualcomm Technology Summit will be held at the end of this month, and after that, the first batch of Snapdragon 8 Gen1-powered phones will be released. With this new flagship processor, the battery and fast charging cannot be compromised or lagged.

This morning, the famous blogger Digital Chat Station revealed that in the upcoming year (2022), the charging power of smartphones will reach 150W, and it will be a mass-produced technology.

150W Fast Charging

However, he also mentioned that the earlier filed models (expected to be released in the first batch) might not carry this technology.

If you don’t care a lot about the 150W fast charging but want rapid performance, we recommend you go with the first batch of Snapdragon 8 Gen1-powered smartphones. However, if you prefer fast charging, it is recommended to wait for the second batch of Snapdragon 8 Gen1 phones for a better experience.

It is worth mentioning that this new flagship chipset is based on Samsung’s 4nm manufacturing process. It features 8 cores: 1x Cortex-X2 Super large core clocked at 3.0GHz, 3x Cortex-A710 Performance cores clocked at 2.5GHz, and 4x Cortex-A510 Energy-efficient cores clocked at 1.79GHz. The chipset would also feature an Adreno 730 built-in GPU.

Models like the Motorola Edge X and Xiaomi Mi 12 are expected to be among the first to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chipset.
