Vivo X Fold officially confirmed to be launched on April 11

Today, the company officially unveiled the date for the upcoming Spring Product Launch Event, covering three new models: Vivo X Note, Vivo X Fold, and Vivo Pad.

In the official announcement, Vivo revealed that the company’s first folding screen comes from the “Folding-Screen 2.0 era.” However, they did not clarify what it means. The company also mentioned the slogan of the new device, which is “big and bold”.

Some of the sides of the vivo X Fold can be observed in the official teaser, and the new foldable phone seems to be another regular folding screen phone. However, the company hasn’t revealed its appearance yet, so we can still expect something unique, innovative and premium from this device.

According to the information, the codename of Vivo X Fold is butterfly, and the butterfly in the wallpaper denotes the same thing. Previously, the codename for the OPPO Folding phone was Peacock. The naming of the two companies is somewhat similar due to the same parent company.

The sources claim that the Vivo X Fold will come with a 6.53-inch OLED external display with Full-HD+ resolution, a 4,600mAh battery, and it also supports 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The device is just 6.28 mm thick.

The company is expected to reveal more information about the new folding phone in the coming days. For the specs of other devices that are part of this event, check out our previous article.
