This morning, ZTE officially announced that the ZTE Axon 40 series will be launched on May 9. Except for the launch date, nothing more was revealed. However, it has been observed that the announcement has been posted on Weibo using the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra.
Previously, it was revealed that the Axon 40 series would include three models: Axon 40, Axon 40 Pro, and Axon 40 Ultra, the Pro and Ultra are expected to feature the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset from Qualcomm, while the Axon 40 might feature a sub-flagship level chipset.
Reports also suggested that the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra will feature the third-generation under-display camera. It is worth mentioning that having an under-display camera is one of the main highlights of the ZTE Axon 40 series.
Previously, the specifications of ZTE Axon 40 Pro were also revealed through the TENAA certification. The phone would feature a 6.67-inch OLED display, a triple camera module (64MP, 50MP, 8MP) in a uniquely designed camera module, a 4900mAh larger battery, and many more.
The specifications of the other two models have not yet been revealed, but the specifications of Pro and Ultra are expected to be similar. In the coming days, the officials are expected to reveal major ZTE Axon 40 series highlights.
