Two weeks ago, Asus officially announced that the new ROG Phone 6 series will be officially released on July 5th. However, we got our first look at the main highlights of the series via the certification site.
This morning, the upcoming ASUS ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro were listed on 3C certification. Both devices got certified with a 65W charger. The first device carries the model number ASUS_AI2201_A, which is the ROG Phone 6. The following device carries the model number ASUS_AI2201_B, which belongs to the ROG Phone 6 Pro.
Both devices use the same charger with model number A320R-200325C-CN, which also supports 27W (9V/3A), 36W (12V/3A) and 45W (15V/3A) charging. The Asus ROG Phone 5 model also uses the same charger.
According to rumors, both devices will feature the same 6000mAh battery with 65W charging. The latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus chipset is one of the major highlights of this phone. The chipset is based on the TSMC 4nm manufacturing process and has the same cores as in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, but the frequency of each core is now increased for a significant change in performance.
The rumors also suggested that the device would feature a 165Hz refresh rate display, an improved version of dual speakers, and a more robust heat dissipation system.
It is expected that before the launch, we might be able to see a few more leaks of the upcoming ROG Phone 6 series.
