In March 2022, Motorola launched the Moto Edge+ (2022) in the US market only. The smartphone was powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and is also a rebranded version of the Moto X30. The latest industry news hints that Motorola will launch its successor.
This morning, the Moto Edge+ (2023) was listed on Google Play Console, revealing its basic specifications and renders. It is worth mentioning that this phone will be exclusive to the US market only.
As the renders show, the Moto Edge+ (2023) features a single punch-hole display that supports 1080 x 2400 resolution and 400 DPI.
The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which is based on TSMC’s 4nm manufacturing process. It has one Cortex-X2 core, two Cortex-A715 cores, two Cortex-A710 cores, and three Cortex-A510 cores.
The certification also mentions that this phone has 12GB RAM and runs on the latest Android 13 OS.
The phone was also previously listed on Bluetooth SIG certification. The certification revealed that this phone is a rebranded version of the Moto X40 (launched in the Chinese Market) and Motorola Edge 40 Pro (launched as a global variant).
The specifications of the Moto Edge+ (2023) will be the same as in its other rebranded models. The phone has a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. It features a triple camera (50MP+50MP+12MP) setup and a single 60MP lens in the punch-hole.
The phone will have a 4600mAh battery and support 125W fast wired charging and 15W wireless charging. The Moto Edge+ (2023) will also be equipped with an under-display fingerprint scanner for quick unlocking.
There is no news regarding the launch of this model at the moment. However, the listing on different certification sites suggests that the launch of Moto Edge+ (2023) is not far away.
