According to some sources, Apple has increased the production of components for its newly launched products, including the Apple Watch Series 6 and the new iPad.
It is also reported that Luxshare Precision will produce parts for the Apple Watch Series 6 and iPad, and BYD will supply the components.
However, Foxconn and Compal Electronics are still the leading suppliers of Apple’s new products, based on their production quality, price, and degree of cooperation with Chinese manufacturers. Apple may transfer more orders to the above-mentioned Chinese companies.
Apple has increased its production of parts and components in China to meet domestic demand. Apple will encourage other manufacturers to start building manufacturing plants in other countries for the global market.
Currently, Apple has Quanta and Foxconn to produce Mac products in the United States. For India, Foxconn, Wistron, and Pegatron will manufacture iPhones locally, mainly to cater to domestic demand. In Vietnam, Compal, Foxconn, Pegatron, and Inventec are currently producing iPad, AirPod, and iPhone in their factories.
Recently, Apple has announced its new Watch Series 6, Apple Watch SE, the new eighth-generation 10.2-inch iPad, and the upcoming iPad Air4. However, the new iPhone 12 is expected to be released in October.
Apple has always worked hard to expand the Chinese market. Even during the pandemic, Apple’s share in the Chinese smartphone market increased by more than 10%.
