BYD Yangwang U8 body dimensions and images revealed

This morning, BYD officially revealed the body dimensions of the Yangwang U8. It would be the company’s first mass-produced SUV and is expected to go on sale in August 2023.

As revealed by the officials, the BYD Yangwang U8 has the following dimensions: 5319x2050x1930 mm, while the wheelbase is 3050mm. The EVs are medium-sized and large-sized SUVs. It is even longer than the Mercedes-Benz GLS and BMW X7. Further, its wheelbase also seems one of the best in its segment.

The Yangwang U8 has a vast I-shaped grille. In addition, a dot matrix LED light source has been used on both sides. The EV is also equipped with electric hidden door handles. From the backside, the EV denotes a rugged design. The back L-shaped LEDs and dot matrix layout are highly recognizable. It is worth mentioning that the top of the car is also equipped with LiDAR.

The U8 adopts a new design language in BYD’s history. Inside the car, there are two screens. The large screen in the middle adopts a mosaic style, and there is also a large screen on the co-pilot’s side. This EV will adopt a 7-seater layout (2+2+3).

The Yangwang U8 comes with an all-new Easy Sifang power system, which features four wheels and four motors. The single motor can provide a maximum power of around 220-240kW and a maximum torque of 320-420Nm. It also has excellent features like turning in place and controlling tire blowouts.

It is also worth mentioning that this EV also features a Yisifang blade battery and a non-loading bearing body.
