A few days ago, it was reported that MediaTek would launch new chipsets on January 20. Some leaks also confirmed that these chipsets will include the Dimensity 1100 and Dimensity 1200.
Today, the famous blogger Digital Chat Station revealed the specifications of the Dimensity 1100 chipset. According to the blogger, the Dimensity 1100 is the lower version of the Dimensity 1200, which is clocked at a lower frequency, but it has almost the same specifications as the Dimensity 1200 chipset.
As mentioned, the Dimensity 1100 is an octa-core chipset based on a 6nm manufacturing process. It features four Cortex-A78 cores at 2.6GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz.
The blogger also stated that all four Cortex-A78 cores are expected to be clocked at 2.6GHz. If this is true, the chipset will be very fragrant.
It is also known that the chipset would feature ISP support up to 108MP, while the display supports 144Hz refresh rate with Full-HD+ resolution. The Dimensity 1200 (MT6893) would support a 168Hz refresh rate. The Dimensity 1100 also supports UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR4x memory.
The blogger also revealed that the upcoming Redmi K40 series would feature an MT6893 chipset. Currently, the Redmi K40 series is confirmed to launch with Snapdragon 888.
