Dimensity 8000 listed on AnTuTu benchmark with 820K+ Score

In the last month of 2021, MediaTek introduced two new chipsets: the Dimensity 9000 and the Dimensity 8000. Until the launch, there was no information about their performance.

However, one of the long mysteries has finally been solved with Digital Chat Station revealing the AnTuTu benchmark scores of the Dimensity 8000 chipset. As you can see, the chipset scored a total of 820,230 points.

In the AnTuTu benchmark, the CPU score is 197,563, the GPU score is 315,470, the MEM score is 149,037, and the UX score is 158,160. The chipset has surpassed the Snapdragon 888’s benchmark scores by a small margin.

In addition, the Dimensity 8000’s temperatures were very stable (26°C – 28°C) during the benchmarks. Perhaps this is the best reason why people favor smartphones powered by the Dimensity 8000, as other sub-flagships (such as the Snapdragon 870 and Snapdragon 888) still suffer from overheating issues.

Before that, there was only competition between Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Dimensity 9000 chipsets, but now Mediatek‘s upcoming Dimensity 8000 chipset is making the scenario for competition with Qualcomm’s sub-flagship chipsets like Snapdragon 870 and Snapdragon 888 chipset.

According to the agreement, many smartphone manufacturers, including the OPPO, Vivo, Xiaomi, and Honor, will manufacture Dimensity 9000-powered smartphones this year. It is also expected that Dimensity 8000 will be the main highlight of smartphones this year, but we have to wait to see that.
