Samsung Galaxy A02 gets FCC certification with 5000mAh battery and 8W charger

Yesterday, we reported that the Samsung Galaxy A02 was listed on the Bluetooth SIG certification. Now, it seems like the device is in its final development stages, as it got another certification.

Today, the upcoming Galaxy A02 received FCC certification. As always, the FCC certification reveals the specifications related to charging. As mentioned in the certification, the Galaxy A02 will have a 5000mAh battery with model number EB-BA217ABY. The Galaxy A21s also uses the same battery.

The device would feature only an 8W charger, which is already used in many Samsung smartphones. The charger’s model number is EP-TA50JWS.

The Galaxy A02 is equipped with a MicroUSB port, as the data cable mentioned is a MicroUSB cable. This device also has a 3.5mm headphone jack, as the earphones with model number EHS61ASFWE are also mentioned.

The model SM-A022F/DS mentioned in the certification is a dual-SIM dual-standby version.

The device has already been spotted on Geekbench. It is powered by Qualcomm MT6739WW chipset, a quad-core chipset based on a 28nm manufacturing process. The chipset consists of Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.5GHz.

The Galaxy A02 is reportedly expected to feature a 6.5-inch TFT display with 1600×720 resolution. There are three rear cameras (13MP + 2MP + 2MP) on the back and a 5MP selfie camera on the front.

This phone will be available in two variants: 3+32GB and 4+64GB. Its price is expected to be lower, as it would be Samsung’s most affordable phone.

For now, there is no official information regarding the launch of Galaxy A02.
