This morning, the Galaxy C55 5G was listed on the Google Play Console. From its renders and model number, it is concluded that this device would be the rebranded version of Galaxy F55 and Galaxy M55. As per certification, the device carries the following model number: Samsung m55xq.
The certification mentions that this phone is powered by the SM7450 chipset, which is the model number of the Snapdragon 7 Gen1 chipset. The chipset is based on a 4nm manufacturing process and consists of four Cortex-A710 P-cores at 2.4GHz and four Cortex-A510 E-cores at 1.8GHz. The CPU is also integrated with an Adreno 644 GPU.
The device features a single punch-hole OLED display with an integrated in-screen fingerprint scanner. The display supports Full HD+ (2400×1080) resolution and 450 DPI. The certification also mentions that the phone has 8GB RAM and runs on the latest Android 14 operating system.
Furthermore, the renders show a vertically aligned triple camera setup on the back of the device. If the device is a rebranded version of the Galaxy M55, the triple camera setup will include a 50-megapixel primary lens, an 8-megapixel lens, and a 2-megapixel lens.
The device’s appearance is identical to the leaked renders of the Galaxy F55 and Galaxy M55. If it uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip, it’ll be interesting to see how it competes with the Galaxy A55.
There is no official word on the release of the device yet. However, we expect it to be released soon. The Galaxy C55 is expected to be available exclusively in the Chinese market, as the C-series has historically been tailored towards this market.
