Samsung has yet to announce the Galaxy M31s, but it has been leaked for a long time. In the past few days, it was also spotted on Geekbench. This morning, the phone received its certification from the TUV Rheinland Japan Ltd.
The certification has a model reference EB-BM317ABY. The letters M317 indicate that this is the Galaxy M31s. The certification shows that the phone will use a 6000 mAh Li-ion battery and support 22.5W fast charging.
From previous information, the phone is powered by the Samsung Exynos 9611 chipset. The Exynos 9611 is a 10nm octa-core processor with four Cortex-A73 cores at 2.3 GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores at 1.7 GHz. The chipset doesn’t support 5G connectivity.
On Geekbench, the phone was spotted with the same processor and 6GB RAM. Some rumors also claimed that this phone has 128GB storage. The phone has scored 347 points on a single-core and 1256 points on a multi-core test (Geekbench 5.2.0). It is also reported that the phone may use a quad-camera setup on the back.
The Galaxy M31s seems to be a slightly upgraded version of the Galaxy M31. Currently, Samsung has not made an official announcement about this phone.
