Today, we reported on the live photos of the upcoming Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. But now something more has been revealed about the phone. Recently, both the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and its S Pen were certified by the FCC.
Both certifications didn’t reveal anything about the phone. The Note 20 Ultra’s certification concerns the mobile’s transmitter. The phone has two mmWave antennas: ANT L (on the bottom left) and ANT K (on the top right).
The applicant for both certifications is Samsung Electronics Company Limited, and it was approved on 6 July. The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra certification has two model numbers, SM-N986U and SM-N986U1, which indicate that both are American variants. The S Pen has model number EJPN980, which indicates that it will be used for the Galaxy Note 20 series.
Previously, it was reported that the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will use a 2K resolution punch-hole Dynamic AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. This phone will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G (US and Chinese Variants) and Exynos 991 (Europe and other market variants).
The phone has a 4370mAh battery and supports 25W fast charging. On the rear, there is a quad-camera setup with a 108MP main camera sensor that supports 50x zoom.
The estimated release date for the Galaxy Note 20 is August 5, and as the time approaches, the phone is also beginning to be fully revealed. The launch will be called UNPACKED and will likely be held online due to the current situation. In addition, there are reports that Samsung may start sending invitations this weekend.
