Samsung Galaxy S22 series might support 45W or 65W charging

This morning, the famous Samsung leakster Ice Universe revealed that the company is now testing to bring higher charging power to its new Galaxy S22 series. This time, we might see 45W or 65W charging.

It is worth mentioning that the upcoming Galaxy S21 FE has already been listed on FCC certification with 45W charging, which points out that the upcoming S series models will be more potent in terms of charging.

Samsung has been sticking with 25W charging for two years now, which looks outdated in today’s world, while other brands are working hard to make 120W charging a regular addition to smartphones. If the news of higher charges comes true, a significant shortcoming of Samsung will be filled.

Some sources also claimed that there would be a different charging power on different models. For example, Galaxy S22 Ultra might feature 65W charging while the standard model features 45W charging.

As per previous leaks, the Samsung Galaxy S22 series is expected to remain unchanged in appearance while the total size of the device may be reduced.

In addition, a stronger camera setup with a main 108MP sensor will be used on the Galaxy S22 series, which is manufactured in collaboration with Olympus.

Inside the new Galaxy S22 series, a newer generation of Snapdragon 8xx series is expected to be used, which might be named Snapdragon 895. A newer Exynos chipset will be featured (for European, Middle East, and Asian variants).
