This morning, the famous blogger Ice Universe revealed the display specifications of the Galaxy Watch 6 series. According to the blogger, there will be two variants of the Galaxy Watch 6: the 40mm variant and the 44mm variant.
The Galaxy Watch 6 40mm variant will feature a 1.31-inch rounded display that supports 432 x 432 resolution. Compared with the Watch5 40mm variant, the screen size is increased by 0.11 inches (1.2 inches display with 396×396 resolution in Galaxy Watch5 40mm).
The 44mm Galaxy Watch 6 will feature a 1.47-inch rounded display that supports 480 x 480 resolution. Compared with the Watch 5 44mm variant, the screen size has been increased by 0.07 inches (1.4-inch display in Galaxy Watch 5 44mm with 450 x 450 resolution).
Previously, both variants of Galaxy Watch 6 were also listed on the South Korean certification site, which revealed that the Galaxy Watch 6 40mm variant would feature a 300mAh battery. The larger 44mm variant will have a 425mAh battery.
There is very little news about this smartwatch at the moment. However, there are reports that the Galaxy Watch 6 will feature a curved screen design, just like the Galaxy Watch Active 2. BOE will be the main display supplier for this watch lineup.
The Galaxy Watch 6 is expected to launch alongside the new Galaxy Z models and Galaxy Tab S9 series in the upcoming UNPACKED event that will probably be held in August 2023.
