Nokia is said to hold an event to officially launch the Nokia 8 on August 16 in London, Britain. Although there are about two months left to the phone’s launch date, the image of the phone has been leaked on the Internet several times. Recently, the smartphone has even appeared on Taobao’s second-hand website.
From the pictures leaked by the seller on Taobao’s second-hand website, the Nokia 8’s engineering prototype has adopted an all-metal body design and adopts gold copper for its back case, which brings an attractive visual effect. Besides, the leaked pictures have also confirmed that the phone will come with dual cameras, which suggests that it will be the first smartphone that comes with dual cameras to be launched since HMD got Nokia’s permission. Its dual cameras seem to have passed ZEISS certification. No ZEISS logo has been spotted on its back because the smartphone in the leaked pictures is the engineering prototype.
It has been rumored that the Nokia 8 will feature a 5.3-inch 2K touchscreen and be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 mobile platform coupled with a 13MP+13MP dual camera setup on the rear. The smartphone is said to be available in two storage models: 4GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM, 6GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM. At present, the phone is priced at CNY 4,500 (approximately $672) on Taobao’s second-hand website.
