On January 22, the Honor V40 launch event was officially held. At the event, Honor introduced the new generation of MagicBook series laptops, including the MagicBook 15 2021 and MagicBook 14 2021.
The thickness of the MagicBook 15 is 16.9 mm, and the weight is 1.53 kg, while the thickness of the MagicBook 14 is 15.9mm, and the weight is 1.34 kg.
The new MagicBook features an 11th-generation Intel Core processor, supports Wi-Fi 6, and comes with 16GB of dual-channel memory. There is also an option with the MX450 discrete graphics card. The new MagicBook has upgraded its cooling system, improving overall thermal performance by 38%.
The MagicBook 14 2021 and MagicBook 15 2021 feature 14.0-inch and 15.6-inch FHD screens, respectively. Both screens feature 100% sRGB color gamut coverage and 300 nits brightness, are certified by TÜV Rheinland, and support DC dimming and screen ratio adjustment functions.
Both laptops come with a 65W charger, a USB Type-C charging port, a pop-up camera, and support for fingerprint recognition on the power button. Both laptops support the newly upgraded multi-screen collaboration feature, allowing up to three windows to be operated collaboratively.
MagicBook 14 2021 comes with a 42Wh lithium-polymer battery, which can be charged to about 53% in 30 minutes, 88% in 60 minutes, and fully charged in 100 minutes. The video playback can last about 7.6 hours. The MagicBook 15 2021 comes with a 56Wh lithium-polymer battery, which can be charged to about 44% in 30 minutes, 68% in 60 minutes, and fully charged in 130 minutes. The video playback can last about 10.2 hours.
Both laptops have a USB Type-C port, a USB 3.2 Gen1 port, a USB 2.0 port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
