Honor is looking forward to releasing an unannounced entry-level model in its Honor Play 7 series before the end of March. The phone would be the successor to Honor Play 6T, another entry-level model powered by a Dimensity 6020 chipset.
This morning, Honor officially announced that the Honor Play 7T would be launched on March 28. The company also revealed the device renders and basic specifications in the announcement.
The Honor Play 7T features a 6.74-inch waterdrop notched LCD display that supports HD+ 1600 x 720 resolution and 90Hz refresh rate.
On the back, there is a dual-ring camera module, with both rings containing a single camera lens. It is officially revealed that this phone will feature a 6000mAh larger battery and 22.5W charging. It is worth mentioning that the charging power hasn’t been officially confirmed yet.
The official announcement also mentioned that this phone would be available in the 8+256GB storage variant.
According to sources, the Honor Play 7T will be powered by the Dimensity 6020 chipset, a new addition from Mediatek in its entry-level SoC category. The chipset is based on a 7nm manufacturing process and features two Cortex-A76 P-cores at 2.2GHz and six Cortex-A55 E-cores at 2.0GHz.
The Honor Play 7T is also reported to be available in 8+128GB and 8+256GB storage variants. It is available in Titanium Silver, Magic Night Black, and Phantom Sea Blue.
