Honor V40 series officially confirmed to feature a 50MP main camera lens

A few days ago, Honor confirmed that they will launch the V40 series. At that time, we mentioned that the company would reveal the main highlights of the upcoming series. It seems that it has started to happen.

Recently, Honor Mobile has officially confirmed that the V40 series will feature a 50MP (with Ultra-Sensitive Imaging) primary camera lens, which would bring an unprecedented image experience.

The Ultra-Sensitive Imaging System can illuminate the night with a small amount of light and provide an unprecedented imaging experience. The official post shows that the phone will support low-light shooting and has good night-shooting capabilities.

According to reports, the Honor V40 uses a triple camera setup with a laser focus camera solution. It would use a 50MP main super-sensitive camera, an 8MP ultra wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens.

The primary camera is the Sony IMX7xx sensor with a 1/1.5x outsole and features the RYYB array. Compared with the traditional camera sensor, it can reduce the loss of light intensity caused by the color filter process and allow the amount of light to enter, with up to a 40% increase.

With the help of a 1/1.5x outsole, the Honor V40 can capture a greater amount of light, a more extensive dynamic range, and better noise control to shoot in the same environment with higher brightness, less noise, and clearer photographs.

It was previously reported that the Honor V40 features a display with the highest specifications ever. According to officials, it is a 1 billion-color retina super-sensing screen, supporting 1B color depth, 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz screen sampling rate, and under-screen fingerprint recognition.

The Honor V40 will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 1000+ chipset, LPDDR4x memory, and UFS2.1 flash memory technology. It has a built-in 4000mAh battery and supports 66W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging.

The Honor V40 series is set to be launched on January 18.
