Repair Tools Needed:
0.8 Pentagonal screwdriver
Suction cup
Pick
Spudger
SIM Card Eject Tool
1. Removing the SIM card tray and two Pentalobe screws
First of all, switch off your phone and remove the SIM card tray.
Remove the two Pentalobe screws located at the bottom next to the device’s USB Type-C port.
2. Open the back cover
Use a suction cup to separate the display unit from the back cover.
Lift up the display a little bit with a suction cup and insert a pick.
Slide the pick along the display edge on both sides.
Don’t remove the back cover completely yet. The power button and volume button cable are still connected to the motherboard.
3. Disconnect the power button and volume button cable
Disconnect the power button and volume button cable using a spudger.
Now, the back cover was removed completely.
