HP Elitebook 745 G5 is a business laptop specially designed for the businessman. This business laptop has two variants: one is powered by AMD Ryzen 5 Pro 2500U processor, and the other is powered by Ryzen 7 Pro 2700U processor. Today, we will disassemble this laptop to see its internal structure.
This laptop has a simple appearance design. Its whole body uses aviation aluminum and adopts the CNC process. It comes with a 14-inch 1080p LG display. Today, the variant we will disassemble is powered by AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U and comes with AMD Radeon Vega 10 coupled with 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD.
To disassemble this laptop, we will start with its back cover. After we remove the back cover, we can see that this laptop has a reasonable, clear internal structure. In the picture, there is the SSD (Samsung PM981), heatsink, memory, battery, cooling fan, and so on.
A big battery is placed at the bottom, and it occupies about one-third of its internal space. This battery has a capacity of 4113mAh, which allows the user who is on a business trip to use it for a short time. It comes with a Samsung PM981 PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD. This SSD’s sequential read speed reaches over 3000M/S, and its sequential write speed reaches over 1600M/S. This SSD can satisfy a businessman’s requirement for speed.
The bigger component on the left is the 4G LTE module, which supports mobile networks. In this way, the user will not be bothered by a signal. The smaller one on the right is the Wi-Fi module. It’s Samsung’s 8GB DDR4 RAM module, which supports dual channels. This module consists of two 4G DDR4 memory chips.
This is the motherboard after we removed the SSD, 4G LTE, WiFi, and memory chips. The laptop’s heat dissipation module is composed of a fan and a copper pipe. Its wide copper pipe is good for efficient heat dissipation. This heat dissipation module can handle the user’s daily work.
After removing the thermal grease, we can see the Ryzen 7 Pro 2700U APU. This APU adopts the AMD Zen framework based on the 14nm manufacturing process. The Ryzen 7 Pro 2700U APU’s frequency is 2.2GHz, which can reach up to 3.8GHz. This APU consists of AMD Radeon Vega 10 with a TDP of 15W.
