Today, a Chinese Weibo user posted an invitation to HTC’s new product launch event on Weibo.
According to the invitation, HTC will hold a new product conference on November 2 in Taipei. The letter U on the poster suggests that the new smartphone belongs to the U series of products. According to the previous leak, the new phone is likely to be the U11 Plus, which is HTC’s first full-screen flagship.
The previous rendering shows that the phone has super-narrow bezels on the front and bottom. It adopts a glass body design and has a camera and a fingerprint reader on the back. The phone features a 5.99-inch (2,880x 1,440 pixels) touchscreen with a screen ratio of 18:9 and is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 835 coupled with 64GB/128GB ROM options. It has an 8MP front shooter for selfies and a 13MP rear camera.
The phone will be priced starting at CNY 4,000 (approximately $607), and it is likely to be on sale on November 11.
