Huawei Mate 40 Pro Glass Protector Revealed

Today, the famous blogger @Digital Chat Station has revealed the live image of a glass protector of the upcoming Huawei Mate 40 Pro smartphone.

In the picture, it can be seen that the new Huawei Mate 40 Pro will feature a dual punch-hole waterfall display. The upper and lower curved surfaces of the display seem to be smaller compared with the predecessor.

Moreover, the front camera also seems to be different from the Huawei P40 Pro. It can be seen that the first camera in this dual punch-hole has a slightly smaller aperture than the Huawei P40 Pro, while the second camera seems to be the same.

Previously, the camera module of the phone was revealed, which exposed that the phone will feature a quad-camera setup. The primary camera and ToF sensor will be the same as those used in the Huawei P40 Pro.

It was also reported that the new Kirin 1000 (maybe named Kirin 9000) chipset would also be used in this phone, which will be based on a 5nm manufacturing process. The chipset will also consist of the Cortex-A78 cores for high performance. It is also expected that the upcoming Mate 40 series will be pre-installed with EMUI 11 Based On Android 11.

The new flagship series is expected to launch in Fall 2020 (October or November).
