Huawei Mate X3 specifications revealed with Snapdragon 8+, 2K display and more

This morning, the famous blogger Digital Chat Station revealed the specifications of Huawei‘s upcoming Mate X3. According to the blogger, the new Mate X3 will adopt the inward folding solution like its predecessor.

Huawei Mate X3 Specs

The blogger said the Mate X3’s outer display will be a single-centered punch-hole display (unlike the Mate X2, which comes with a single punch-hole on the right side). In contrast, the inner display will not have a camera module.

It would be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. The chipset is the overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and is based on a 4nm TSMC manufacturing process, which has lower power consumption.

The blogger also revealed that the Mate X3 would feature a triple rear camera setup, including Sony’s 50MP IMX766 primary lens, Sony’s 13MP IMX688 super wide-angle lens, and Sony’s 16MP IMX351 periscope lens. The phone is expected to feature a 4800mAh battery and 66W charging support.

In the end, the blogger also mentioned that the lightweight and thin body would be a key feature of this phone.

According to previous news, the Huawei Mate X3 would be priced at around $1500. Currently, the Mate Xs 2 has a starting price of $1450.

It is also worth mentioning that the Mate X3 might not support 5G as Huawei currently has no license to use Qualcomm’s 5G chipsets. However, the company might later launch special cases for this phone to enable 5G connectivity, as Huawei did in the past.

We can expect the Huawei Mate X3 to launch before the end of the first quarter of 2023.
