Huawei Mate 40 And P40’s New Version Coming In September, After Shipped 105M Phones In 1H20

It was reported that the new Huawei Mate 40 might be delayed due to the Pandemic situation. But recently, it was said (by Cailian News Agency) that the new flagship series will be launched according to every year’s schedule.

Today, at the 2020 China Informatization Conference, Huawei Consumer BG CEO Richard Yu said that Huawei’s consumer business sales revenue in the first half of the year amounted to 255.8 billion yuan, and the global cell phone shipments amounted to 105 million units. According to his predictions, sales may be lower than in 2019 (i.e., 240 million units) due to difficulties in chip supply.

In addition, there is also news that Huawei plans to launch a new version of the Huawei P40 in the same month. The upcoming new version of the Huawei P40 will use the Kirin chipset. It is still not confirmed whether the new Huawei P40 will be in a new color scheme or a new version of the Huawei P40.

Previously, it was also reported by Yu Chengdong (in today’s conference) that Huawei’s notebook computers in the second quarter increased by 120% year-on-year, and true wireless headsets increased by 50% year-on-year.
