This morning, Huawei officially launched the 2021 Matebook X powered by the 11th-Gen Core i5-1130G7 processor. We have also observed many new changes except the hardware in the new Matebook X 2021, which are discussed below:
The Matebook X 2021 features a 13-inch display, which is mainly targeted at the business segment. With this size, the laptop might also attract Macbook Air users. It has dimensions of about 284.4×206.7×13.6mm and weighs only 1.0 kg, providing an excellent portability experience.
The notebook has three different color options: Frost Silver, Interstellar Blue, and Green Hills. Each color provides slightly different colors from different angles. The laptop body is made of aluminum and has a matte finish; only the logo area has a shiny surface.
The 13-inch display also has many highlights, such as a 3:2 aspect ratio, 90% screen-to-body ratio, 400 nits display brightness, and a 178-degree wide viewing angle. It is an LTPS LCD touchscreen packed with 3K+ (3000x2000p) resolution and 278PPI. In terms of display colors, the screen also has a 100% sRGB color gamut.
The Matebook X features the same keyboard style as the 2020 model, providing the same comfortable typing experience. But the notebook comes with a new sensitive pressure touchpad, which senses the pressure feedback and makes its experience more decent.
The laptop is powered by the latest 11th-gen Intel Core i5-1030G7 Processor, based on the 10nm SuperFin process. The chipset features four cores, eight threads, and 8MB cache memory. It is also equipped with an Intel Iris Xe GPU. Not only that, the 16GB LPDDR4x (3733MHz) RAM and 512GB NVMe SSD also take the performance of the notebook to another level.
Inside the notebook, a 42Wh Lithium Polymer battery has been used. The officials didn’t reveal anything regarding the battery timing. Further, the laptop can only be charged through the Type-C port. The laptop features 2x Type-C ports, which are still not sufficient but cover almost every big operation.
The Matebook X 2021 is also equipped with four high and low-frequency crossover speakers, with clear treble, deep bass, and sound waves flowing freely, making the sound experience rich and pure. Another highlight is that the notebook uses a noise-free cooling system, which does not produce noise when working.
The laptop now comes with many new features providing a smoother UI experience. Sharing files has also become very easy between Huawei devices due to the all-new built-in Huawei Share feature.
