It has been more than three weeks since Huawei’s upcoming Nova 9 series was listed on TENAA certification. It was the first time when this upcoming flagship series got leaked. Until now, its official confirmation and launch date were unknown.
This morning, Huawei officially confirmed the new Nova 9 series and revealed that it would launch on September 23. The company has made this announcement through its official Weibo account.
As seen in the launch poster, the new Nova 9 has the same appearance as in TENAA certification. It has the same pill-shaped camera module with two circles inside. The first one has the primary camera lens, while the second one has three more lenses.
It is worth mentioning that the new Nova 9 series seems to be the rebranded version of the Honor 50 series. The Nova 9 will feature a single punch-hole display, while the Nova 9 Pro has a dual punch-hole display, the same as in the Honor 50 series.
Both models will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 778G, a premium mid-range chipset based on a 6nm manufacturing process. In addition, the Nova 9 will feature 66W charging, while the Nova 9 Pro features all-new 100W charging.
For complete specifications, we have to wait until officials or any other source reveals them.
