Today, Huawei has officially confirmed that they will launch the Nova 8 series on December 23. After the confirmation, the famous blogger Digital Chat Station revealed the specifications of both devices in this series.
The specifications were sent to the blogger by an anonymous Chinese netizen. As per that person, the standard version of Nova 8 will feature a 90Hz OLED Display (maybe a Single Punch-Hole Display with Full HD+ resolution). The screen is curved, while the display also has 1 Billion Color Bits.
On the backside, there would be a quad-camera setup with a primary 64MP sensor, while on the front side, there is a 32MP single camera (maybe in Punch Hole). The Kirin 985 chipset is equipped inside the phone, with a maximum 2.58GHz frequency. The Nova 7 series also features the same chipset.
This model’s battery capacity is not revealed, but the charger would support maximum charging at 66W. The phone would also support 5G network in dual mode.
The phone would have a thickness of only 7.64mm. It is also mentioned that the body is lightweight, and a new 3D hyperboloid glass design is also expected.
The Nova 8 Pro will feature a 120Hz OLED Single Punch-Hole Display with 1 Billion Color Bits (and maybe Full HD+ Resolution). Like the standard version, the display is also curved there. The pro version also consists of the same Quad-camera setup with a 64MP primary camera sensor.
This version also consists of some unique camera features like comfortable Vlog shooting and the Front & Rear camera dual scene video recording. On the front side, it may feature a Dual Punch-Hole camera with a primary 32MP sensor.
The fast charging support (66W) is the same as the standard version. The chipset (Kirin 985 5G) is also the same as the Dual 5G Standby. Other things, like design and thickness, are not mentioned there. Both devices would be available in two storage variants: 8+128GB and 8+256GB.
