Huawei Pocket 2 officially confirmed to launch on February 22

Since the Chinese New Year has ended and the markets are once again open, Huawei has just revealed the launch date of its upcoming phone. The company seems to be looking forward to releasing the successor to its flip phones, such as the Huawei P50 and Huawei Pocket S.

This morning, Huawei announced that the Huawei Pocket 2 will be launched on February 22. The official announcement mentions that a new eye-catching work is coming soon. However, the poster shows that it still adopts the old pill-shaped camera module design.

The official announcement doesn’t include any specifications or appearance of the device. However, it was previously revealed that the phone will adopt the same design from previous generations. However, the hardware will be upgraded.

This flip phone will be powered by the Kirin 9000S 5G chipset, which is based on a 7nm manufacturing process. The chipset features four TaiShan V120 Cores (one clocked at 2.62GHz and three clocked at 2.1GHz) and four Cortex-A510 E-cores at 1.53GHz.

It was also revealed that this phone would have a 4520mAh battery and 66W Huawei fast charger, which the company has used since the Mate40. The cover screen and camera setup will be upgraded.

The smartphone will be available in a purple plain and gray leather version, a glass version, and an art version (will use 3D design technology).

Huawei is expected to reveal the major highlights of its upcoming Huawei Pocket 2 in the coming days.
