iPhone 12 series to feature a 20W charger

As in previous years, after the WWDC conference concluded, leaks about the upcoming iPhone series began to emerge. This year is no exception. Recently, a digital blogger on Weibo revealed some information about the charging capabilities of the iPhone 12.

According to his post, the iPhone 12 series will include a 20W charger in the box. Surprisingly, this will be the first time that the cheapest iPhone comes with a fast-charging charger. In the past, although all iPhones supported fast charging, they did not come with a fast-charging charger in the box, and users had to purchase one separately.

iPhone 12 Charger Certification

The upcoming iPhone series chargers have also received IECEE certification. IECEE is a certification Company based in Norway. According to the certification information, the certification was issued by NEMKO AS. The model number is A2247, which appears to be the iPhone model number. This charger features a USB Type-C port, similar to the one on the MacBook charger.

Based on all the signs above, it seems that Apple will discontinue production of its 5W charger. Perhaps we will no longer see this 5W charger, which has long been included with the iPhone for a long time.
