Apple is expected to announce its upcoming iPhone 15 lineup in September 2023. A few days ago, the CAD renders of the entire series were revealed.
This morning, a Weibo blogger revealed a live image of the iPhone 15 series’ glass panels. In the photo, the first glass panel is of the iPhone 15, the second is of the iPhone 15 Pro, and the last belongs to the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
As the blogger said, the width of the latter two borders is further narrowed to 1.5mm (reported by Ice Universe), and all four sides are equal in width.
In addition, the blogger also mentioned that the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus would still be limited to a 60Hz refresh rate display and lack the AOD (Always-On Display) feature.
However, the glass panel image has revealed that Apple also uses a Dynamic Island display on iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus this year. Apple might stick to the Apple A16 Bionic chipset on its standard models, while the Pro models would feature the Apple A17 chipset.
Rumors also suggested that the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus would feature a titanium alloy frame for the first time instead of stainless steel. Moreover, the physical buttons will be replaced by virtual buttons supporting Haptic Touch, just like the 3D Home Button.
The Apple iPhone 15 series is expected to be released in September this year.
