iQOO 8 confirmed to feature Snapdragon 888 Plus, UFS 3.1 storage, and LPDDR5 memory

A few days ago, iQOO officially confirmed that the company would launch the iQOO 8 on August 17. As the announced launch time is approaching, the company has started to reveal the significant highlights of the phone.

This afternoon, the company officially revealed that the new iQOO 8 will feature the Snapdragon 888 Plus, the latest flagship chipset from Qualcomm, and the combo of UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR5 memory to ensure the best performance with the chipset.

The Snapdragon 888 Plus has almost the exact specifications as the standard version. The high-end core Cortex-X1 is now clocked at 2.99GHz instead of 2.84GHz (in the standard version). The chipset is still based on a 5nm process and features an Adreno 660 GPU.

As previously reported, the iQOO 8 will adopt Samsung’s E5 new technology screen for the first time in the industry. The display would feature a single punch-hole and 2K Resolution (around 3200x1440p). Furthermore, it will also achieve the 1-120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate, natively up to 10bit color, using the COP Package.

It is worth mentioning that the iQOO 8 will feature 16GB RAM, of which the 12GB memory is standard while the 4GB memory can be expanded. The phone will feature a primary camera with an outsole and a high-power periscope lens. The support for wireless charging would also be there.

For full specifications, we have to wait until the officials announce them.
