iQOO Neo8 series officially confirmed to launch on May 23

Today, iQOO officially announced that the iQOO Neo8 series will be launched on May 23. In the official announcement, the officials have also mentioned a teaser from which the appearance of the Neo8 Pro can be appropriately judged.

Before discussing this, it is worth mentioning that the iQOO Neo8 series will have two models: the Neo8 and the Neo8 Pro. The Neo8 is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. In contrast, the Neo8 Pro is officially confirmed to feature the Dimensity 9200+ chipset, which was revealed yesterday.

The iQOO Neo8 Pro will feature a textured leather back in red color. There is a rectangle-shaped camera module with a carbon fiber design and a dual camera setup. The primary sensor is expected to be Sony’s IMX866V 50MP lens, customized by Vivo, which will also support OIS.

Under the camera module, we have Neo branding. The official teaser also revealed that the Neo8 Pro will be equipped with the Vivo V1+ ISP chip.

According to leaks and rumors, the iQOO Neo8 Pro will feature a 6.78-inch single punch-hole AMOLED display that supports 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The display would also be equipped with an under-screen fingerprint scanner and there is a 16MP lens in the punch-hole.

As mentioned before, the Neo8 Pro will be powered by Dimensity 9200+ chipset, an overclocked version of the standard Dimensity 9200. The chipset is based on the same TSMC 4nm manufacturing process and has the same core architecture but with higher core frequencies.

In the coming days, iQOO is expected to reveal the significant highlights of the phone until the launch date.
