A month ago, we reported that Vivo had applied for some new trademarks. The trademark application also includes the iQOO U trademark. Recently, the company has officially confirmed its first U-series smartphone. The phone is named iQOO U1. The model number is Vivo V2023A, which is already spotted on Geekbench and many other sites.
All the specifications regarding the phone are also listed on the official website now. The phone has a 6.53-inch single punch-hole LCD display with a resolution of 2340×1080 and an aspect ratio of 19:5:9. The screen-to-body ratio of the phone is 90.72%, and there is a thick bottom chin, too. The phone has dimensions 162.05×76.61×8.46mm and weighs around 190g.
The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 720G, an octa-core processor based on the 8nm process with an Adreno 618 GPU. The chipset is excellent for gaming and multitasking at the mid-range level. The phone uses a 4500mAh lithium battery with an 18W dual-engine flash charger.
The renders of the phone show a shiny back cover with iQOO branding. The phone has a micro USB port for charging purposes and a 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom.
The phone features a triple camera module (48MP + 2MP + 2MP) arranged vertically in a rectangular bump. There is also an LED flash below the rear camera. It also has an 8MP front camera. There is also a side fingerprint scanner on the lock button, along with facial recognition support.
The phone is available in three variants: 6+64GB for $171, 6+128GB for $200, and 8+128GB for $230. It uses UFS 2.1 storage and LPDDR4X memory. The phone is available in Star Blue, Mysterious Black, and Sunny Frost White. The launch is expected before the end of the month.
