Thank you for this guide. Might you be able to check with HWINFO what screen is inside this model? I’d also like info about the screen in the 15.6″ Acer Predator G9-591 if possible. Thanks!
sorry! we do not have Predator G9-591
That’s alright, but how about the screen inside the Predator G9-791? Thank you.
i do not disassemble it, it is 1920*1080 IPS screen, i think it is should be LG LP173WF4 (SP)(F1) or LP173WF3
hi, i got it, it is AU Optronics AUO109B (B173ZAN01.0), 17.3-inch, IPS, Ultra HD 3840 x 2160 px resolution, matte, non-touch
Theres a 1080 and 4k screen
Can we have the higher resolution of those images? Thanks.
The SSD RAID was the boot drive, correct? I’m trying to upgrade my Predator that came with one 256GB liteon drive to two 512GB Samsung 850 evo drives, however I can’t figure out how to get them in RAID 0 and still be able to clone my boot drive to them or install a fresh copy of Windows 10. Also, any idea where I can get that extension bracket for the top drive? I’ve been searching for answers on both of these and Acer’s support site (as well as Google) is maddeningly sparse on info for this laptop.
Can’t find the blueish HD encasing anywere even Acer support seems not to have IT as spare part, anyone has info or idea of replacemant?
Anyone can help with part no or replacement for the blueish hdd encasing, Acer support doesn’t got it as loose part.

You’d better replace the entire keyboard.
Ok thanks. How can i remove the keyboard from the laptop? Also where can i find a replacement ?
The keyboard is available on ebay.com.
where’s the memory hidding? trying to upgrade new 4 stick of 16. i open it up and cant find it.

Will I be allowed to replace my M.2 Sata SSDs with Samsung 960 Pro SSDs?
Or only SATA Samsung 850 Evo
Can I keep the powerful cooler logged in all the time ? Or just when playing high quality games? Thanks in advance..
is it possible to change the display from Full HD to UHD ? The modell exists with both, so maybe that works ?!
The FHD and UHD with different connector, you need to buy a UHD video cable first to replace it with UHD screen.
thank you for your information. So you say: buying the correct cable and the UHD display, and of course skills to do the change could work for upgrading the Display ?
has anyone done this already ?
Yes, if you have the correct LCD cable, the UHD screen will work on your laptop.
Dears,
My acer predator G9-791-735A it’s not working, turned off by it self and no turned on anymore! I change the charger but same, no any light.
Do you some one know how can I fix it?
Thanks
This situation may be a motherboard failure, I recommend you go to the repair shop to test it
i have a acer predator g9 593 and this laptop have 2 slot of ssd but above slot dont have screw to keep ssd.
i wanna use 2 ssd but i cant stay ssd on this slot. please help me ?
Hi, does anyone have, de schematics, or measurements of the DVD drive caddy that comes with the laptop? cant buy it where I am, but have access to 3d printing :3
I had the same issue, I thought it was the power connector to the motherboard, that didn’t fix the issue. I had a brain fart, bought a new battery from Amazon, it turned on right away……
4 X 16 GB ram slots total 64 GB. I have 48 GB replacing just the 2 slots in the quick remove tray. I’d like to replace the other 2 but haven’t taken the whole thing apart. I also have a predator Helios 700 that has the same issue. Why did Acer have to make it so difficult to replace those 2 sticks of ram?
