Lenovo ThinkPad T500 Disassembly (Clean Cooling Fan, Remove Keyboard)
In this guide, I’ll explain how to disassemble the Lenovo ThinkPad T500 to remove and replace the hard drive, DVD drive, RAM, keyboard, palm rest, wireless card, motherboard, heat sink, and cooling fan. Refer to this guide; you can repair, upgrade, and clean your ThinkPad T500.

Turn off your laptop. Unlock and remove the battery.
Remove six screws from the bottom case.
Pull out the hard drive module.
Pry up the palm rest and disconnect the touchpad cable from the motherboard. You can remove the palm rest.
Remove two screws securing the keyboard bezel.
Lift up the keyboard and disconnect the keyboard cable. You can remove the keyboard.
Now remove the keyboard bezel.
Remove one screw.
Remove the speaker.
Remove five screws.
Disconnect the cooling fan cable.
Clean the old glues and apply new glues on the CPU and GPU.
