Asus ZenFone 6 Disassembly

In this guide, I’ll explain how to disassemble the Asus ZenFone 6 to remove and replace the back cover, battery, camera, speaker, and motherboard.

Asus ZenFone 6’s battery is non-removable, but the back cover can be removed.

Asus ZenFone 6’s SIM card slot and Micro SD card slot are fixed on the battery.

Due to the slot design, replacing the battery will be inconvenient.

Here is the speaker.

This is the bottom of the phone. You can see the ZenFone 6 USB port.

ZenFone 6 cable layout is quite reasonable.

Remove thirteen screws and remove the middle frame. You can get access to the internal components.

Disconnect the power cable from the motherboard and remove the battery.

There is a metal plate on the battery. ZenFone 6’s card slot is fixed on the metal plate.

Remove three screws securing the motherboard.
Disconnect remain cables. The motherboard can be removed.

The 3.5mm headphone jack is welded on the motherboard.
