Samsung Galaxy S5 Screen Replacement and Removal

In this guide, I will explain how to disassemble the Samsung Galaxy S5 to remove the back cover, battery, front glass, screen, and motherboard.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Screen Replacement

This is broken front glass and new front glass.

The first step is to remove the back cover and battery.

Remove the cover. Under the cover is the home button’s touch cable.

Disconnect the touch cable.

Heat the edge of the display assembly for 3-5 minutes.
Gently open the display assembly with a suction cup.

Insert the guitar pick and slide the pick by the arrows to open the display assembly.

The old display assembly has been removed, and all residue has been cleaned from the chassis.

Install the new double-sided adhesive film and remove the protective film from the new display assembly.

Install the new display assembly.

Installed the back cover
