HP Pavilion 14 Disassembly

In this guide, I’ll explain how to disassemble the HP Pavilion 14 to remove and replace the hard drive, keyboard, palm rest, wireless card, RAM, speakers, cooling fan, and motherboard. Refer to the guide, you can upgrade, repair and clean your Pavilion 14.

Remove eight screws securing the bottom case.

Flip the laptop over. Pry up the keyboard with a pry bar. Lift up the keyboard and disconnect the keyboard cable.

Remove ten screws securing the palm rest. Disconnect all visible cables.

Pry up the palm rest with a pry bar. Lift up the palm rest and disconnect the touchpad cable. You can remove the palm rest.

When removing the palm rest, you can access the hard drive, speakers, cooling fan, and motherboard.

HP Pavilion 14 features a Ralink RT3290 wireless card.

The small part is used to fix the DC power jack.
