ZTE Nubia Z9 Max Teardown

In this guide, I’ll explain how to disassemble the Nubia Z9 Max to remove the back cover, battery, speaker, rear camera, front camera, and motherboard.

Heat up the back cover with a heat gun for 2-3 minutes.

Open the back cover with a sucker.

The back cover was covered by black cooling stickers, and the motherboard was covered by a black fixed plate.

The main camera is equipped not only with high-transparency glass but also with dustproof cotton.

A metal sheet is fixed to the battery power cable.

Remove the bottom speaker.

Nubia Z9 Max speaker module

Remove the screws securing the motherboard.

The motherboard was removed.

Virtual LED light button

3.5mm headphone jack

micro USB jack

Remove the battery.

Nubia Z9 Max comes with a 3.84V, 3000MAH Li-polymer battery.

The front camera and rear camera

All the chips were covered by metal shields.

    My z9max is off after the update and is being shown on PC as a “USB input device” although reinstalling, and checking on other computers as well (Driver signature off, etc)
    so the only way to go into flashing it is knowing points A and B to connect it externally and…
    But there is no manual that shows where those two points are, from the photos above, could you show me where those points B are? Thanks
