Today, Meizu officially confirmed the chipset and some related specs of the upcoming Meizu 18 series on its official Weibo account.
According to officials, the Meizu 18 Pro will feature the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. It has also been confirmed to include UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR5 RAM.
The Snapdragon 888 is an octa-core chipset based on a 5nm manufacturing process. It features a Cortex-X1 core at 2.84GHz, three Cortex-A78 cores at 2.42GHz, and four Cortex-A55 cores at 1.8GHz.
In addition, the Meizu 18 series is also confirmed to come with OneMind 8XX. According to reports, the OneMind 8XX seems to be software that might optimize the phone’s battery and performance.
As previously reported, the Meizu 18 Pro is confirmed to feature a QHD+ display with a single punch hole. The display size of both versions will be 6.2 inches.
The Meizu 18 is also confirmed to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870, an upgraded version of the Snapdragon 865 with a maximum frequency of 3.2GHz.
The Meizu 18 will feature a Triple camera setup (64MP+12MP+5MP), while the Meizu 18 Pro’s camera specs are unknown.
The Meizu 18 series is set to be launched on March 3.
