In November 2022, Meizu announced that the company would release its Meizu 19 series, which would be among the first devices powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Later, the company announced that it had skipped the Meizu 19 and is looking forward to launching the Meizu 20 series in the spring of 2023.
However, the latest industry leaks indicate that the company is almost ready to introduce its new flagship models. This afternoon, the Chinese blogger Digital Chat Station revealed the poster of the Meizu 20 Pro, in which the device’s appearance can be appropriately observed.
As can be seen in the poster, the new Meizu 20 Pro adopts a flat-edge design instead of round edges (as in previous models). The display is a single punch-hole straight screen.
On the back, the Meizu 20 Pro features a vertically aligned camera module named Minimalist Vertical Video Module by the blogger. It has four camera holes on the back surface; the first three being the camera lenses, while the fourth seems to be an LED flash.
The Meizu 20 Pro is most likely powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The chipset is based on the latest 4nm manufacturing process and features a new core architecture that includes one Cortex-X3 core, two Cortex-A715 cores, two Cortex-A710 cores, and three Cortex-A510 cores.
There is no official information regarding the launch of the Meizu 20 Pro at the moment. However, the blogger has mentioned that the launch is expected to happen next month.
