A few days ago, it was reported that Meizu was working on a smartwatch. Even an unknown watch model from Meizu with model number M007W was also spotted on the 3C certification. Recently, some more leaks have been revealed regarding the upcoming watch.
Today, the China National Intellectual Property Office approved a new patent for the Meizu Watch. The patent revealed the watch’s appearance. It looks very similar to Apple’s Watch series. The only difference is the sides of the watch.
The sides are a bit rounded and box-like. The display seems to have a bit more bezel, but still, it looks very similar to the Apple Watch. There is only a single button on the right side, which may be used for a particular purpose. On the other side, the speakers are placed.
It may also use a magnetic charger as the bottom area, showing that it may use a charger similar to the Apple Watch’s charger. If we look at the watch’s band, it is almost the same as Apple’s Silicone Band (of their watch). The patent includes two colors of the watch: light blue & black.
Previously, a Meizu Watch was also listed on the 3C Certification. It was revealed that the watch could be used independently from the mobile phone, supports a 4G network and 7.5W charging, and does not include a charger.
For now, there is no confirmation about the launch of Meizu’s watch. But it may launch soon as development seems to be in the final phase.
