Moto Edge X listed on 3C certification with 68W charging

Yesterday, Lenovo officially announced that it is set to launch its Moto Edge X in China. However, the officials didn’t reveal any launch information.

This morning, the Moto Edge X with model number XT2201-2 has been listed on the Chinese 3C certification. The certification shows that the device is equipped with a 68W charger with model number MC-888, which is the most ever in Motorola’s Edge series.

The certification also shows that the device and charger support charging at lower speeds as follows: 15W (5V/3A), 27W (9V/3A), 45W (15V/3A), and 68W (20V/3.4A).

According to our information, the new Moto Edge X is most likely to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon SM8450. Motorola could be competing with Xiaomi by launching the world’s first smartphone powered by this chip.

The SM8450 is expected to be based on Samsung’s 4nm manufacturing process and new Dual Part 3400 architecture. It would feature eight cores: one Cortex-X2 core (3.0GHz), three Cortex-A710 (2.5GHz) cores, and four Cortex-A510 (1.79GHz) cores.

Motorola Edge X is expected to launch during the New Generation Snapdragon Summit, which will be held from November 30 to December 2.
